Photocopied letters principally from William H. Cope of the 11th Wisconsin Infantry, Company I but also from several other Civil War soldiers. Cope's letters home describe his time at Camp Randall and his unit's activities in the South. Other correspondents include the names Pierce, Ingraham, and Campbell. Later letters are from the Polmeteer family of Waushara County to relatives in Oregon.
